TRES is a newly opened Filipino-Spanish restaurant at SM North Edsa 2F Annex.
We were at Fossil Shop that day
(our conversation was mix of Tagalog, English and Chinese language)
my mom said: "Let's eat I'm hungry.
I looked at my newly bought watch
and said: "What? It's still 4 o'clock in the afternoon."
Mom said: "Yeah, but I'm really hungry and feeling dizzy."
I said: "Ah ok, so where shall we eat?"
Mom said: " Wherever they serve delicious food."
I replied: " Well, I've got my eyes on the restaurant opposite this shop."
and I pointed at Tres
I continued: "I think they serve good food because their poster looks good."
So on we went and sat at the nearest table from the entrance.
The waitstaff gave us their menu, and my mom and I took our time in deciding what to order.
It took 30 minutes for our food to come, yes we did actually count but we didn't mind because my mom and I chit chatted about stuffs and we weren't in a hurry.

I ordered Dalandan Fruit Shake, so for me my perception is that I'll get this citrussy taste but sadly when I took a few sip and more I got this super sweet taste of ripen dalandan and too much sugar?
We ordered 2 kinds of viand, the first one is this Lumpia Shanghai which is very good because I prefer my meat to be tender and fresh in taste and even if the lumpia was not oily it's a must to dip it with the delightful dip that taste like the sauce of atchara/ sweet vinegar.
The garlic rice was Php 73.00 as I can still remember because my mom told me to order two rice, but I told her the price and said I'm sure it's a large serving and it was not just the cupped rice thing. Good thing about this Garlic rice is that it's really mixed with fresh caramelized onions "ginisa" and not just plain steamed rice with garlic toast on top.
Our second viand was the Pinakbet topped with a few pieces of Lechon Kawali, the serving was kinda small just good for two persons really. But taste-wise its a thumbs up.
For desset we had this Turon: Banana + Ube + a bit of langka (I know it's there somewhere? but I'm not so sure) it's all wrapped in lumpia wrapper then deep fried. And again the dip made it more superb, the dip was a langka sauce.
So will we go back here again?
Yes, yes and YES =)
I do hope when we get back to this restaurant they can serve our food in a time-wise manner without damaging it's quality.
And oh yeah, they have a Promo till June 2012, when you reach a minimum single receipt of Php 1,000.00 you can avail of the Crispy Pata for only Php 33.00. What a great deal right?
And if you wanna try out their Paella Vallencia (which my mom and I are planning to taste next) the note on their menu says to allow 45 mins for cooking time. I really hope it's gonna be worth the wait.
